Prof. Anura Manatunga is a Senior Professor at the Department of Archaeology and the Director of the Centre for Heritage Studies at the University of Kelaniya. He was the Head of the Department of Archaeology from 1996-2002 and the Director of the Polonnaruwa Project of the Central Cultural Fund from 1999-2014. He held the Honourary Librarian post of the Royal Asiatic Society of Sri Lanka and the Vice President of the Sri Lanka Council of Archaeologists. Professor Manatunga is the Founder of the International Federation of Teaching Archaeologists and Historians (IFTAH) and the Founder Secretary General of the International Association for Asian Heritage (IAAH).

Ms. H.H.N.S. Hewawasan is currently a senior lecturer attached to the Department of History, Faculty of Social Sciences in University of Kelaniya. Alumni of the same university, she joined the university in 1990 after completing Bachelor of Arts (Special) in History. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Archaeology and Master of Science (M.Sc.) from Postgraduate Institute of Archaeology, University of Kelaniya. She was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Heritage Studies from October, 2017.

She has a Master of Social Sciences (MSSc.) Degree in Archaeology from the University of Kelaniya.
