Workshop on "Analysis of Human Skeletal Remains" conducted by Centre for Heritage Studies concluded on 20th January 2018. The main objective of this workshop was to study of human skeletal remains are important for Archaeology. Facilitator Dr. Lanka Ranaweera conducted the workshop as a group work accompanied by a concise presentation using biological, archaeological and historial aspects pertaining to skeletal study.

Workshop on "Google Maps for Heritage Researchers with introduction to Google Map’s Local Guides Program" conducted by Centre for Heritage Studies concluded on 20th May 2018. The main objectve of the workshop was to introduce Google tools which can be used to track Archaeological sites. Facilitator Mr. Anuradha Piyadasa conducted the workshop as a hands on experience group work accompanied by several live demonstrations.

The International Conference on Land Transportation, Locomotive Heritage and Road Culture

The 1st International conference on Land Transportation, Locomotive Heritage and Road Culture organised by the Center for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya was successfully held on the 14th and 15th of December 2017. The Inaugural Ceremony of the conference was held on the 14th of December 2017 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The conference provided a great opportunity to the academics and the researchers in the fields of Land Transportation, Locomotive heritage and Road Culture to widen their knowledge in heritage studies.
