Senior Lecturer Saman Rajapaksha was awarded as one of the Most Successful Directors of the Centre/Unit/Committee of the University in 2022 at the Long Service Awards and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony 2023

Senior Lecturer Saman Rajapaksha, Director of the Communication and Media Unit of the University of Kelaniya received an award under the category of the Most Successful Directors of the Centre/ Unit/ Committee of the University in 2022 at the Long Service Awards and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards 2023. The Awards Ceremony was held on the 02^nd of January 2023 at the Dharmaloka Hall of the University of Kelaniya.

The Award was presented by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, to appreciate his commendable service towards the success of the Unit as well as the University during the previous year. Senior Lecturer Saman Rajapaksha has been serving as the Director of the Communication and Media Unit since August 2021 and has worked with great dedication to uplift the image of the university.

The prime objective of the Long Service Awards and Vice- Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony which is being held annually since 2007, is to appreciate the service of the academic & non- academic staff members during the last year and encourage them further to work towards uplifting the image of the university.
