Second runner-up of the IET 150 & beyond competition
The team from the University of Kelaniya ended as the second runner-up of the IET 150 & beyond - "Innovative solutions for waste management" competition for the idea of "Scalable and sustainable solution for e-Waste Management with hands-on experience". The competition was organized by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Young Professional Sri Lankan Network and the grand final of the competition was held at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo, on 18 June 2022. The five-member student group that represented the university included Mr. T.S.U. Rathnamalala, Mr. J.K.H.V. Jayaneththi, Mr. K.L.A.C. Lakshan, Ms. A.K. Saraph and Mr. M.W.S. Dilshan from the Department of Physics and Electronics, Faculty of Science.
