Classification and Cataloguing
As the library of PGIAR is based on an exclusive collection of resources on Archeology it follows a specific system of classification of its own. The inventor of this system of classification was Professor Senake Bandaranayake. Therefore, the system is titled Senake Bandaranayake Classification (SBC).

Subsequently, Visual Art, Architecture, Sculpture, Cultural Studies have been added to the class.
