A meeting was held on 23rd June 2022 between the National Research University Higher School of Economics and the University of Kelaniya to discuss collaboration in the fields of Library and Information Science and International Studies. The meeting facilitated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation focused on areas academic exchange and knowledge transfer. Following the presentations of potential areas of collaboration presented by Senior Professor Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Senior Professor M. K. Weerasinghe, Head, Department of Library and Information Science, Senior Professor W. A. Weerasinsghe, Dr. Chaminda Abeysinghe, Head, Department of International Studies and the delegates from the Higher School of Economics, it was decided to hold the next meeting after preparing a working paper on potential avenues of cooperation by the two departments of study from University of Kelaniya.
