Workshop Practical Leadership and Management Skills Needed Today.

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Lasanthi Daskon-Attanayake, Disability and Gender specialist, National Disability and Programme advisor to the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, and visiting lecturer of Department of Disability Studies, Faculty of Medicine, Mr. Amal Randeniya, the former secretary of Bar Association of Sri Lanka, and Mr. Indika Perera, peace and conflict/ anti-corruption specialist, visiting lecturer of Department of Philosophy, and member of Ethical Review Committee of Faculty of Medicine.

The workshop on “Practical Leadership and Management Skills Needed Today” was organized specifically for the students with disabilities. During the workshop, the resource persons unequivocally spoke their experience in planning daily activities and management of conflicts and also disability rights and law relating to persons with disability.

The lecture was attended by a mixed group of undergraduate students from the Faculties of Humanities, Faculties of Social Sciences, Faculties of Commerce and Management, and Faculties of Science, with sign language interpreter support offered by Mr. Janka Ranasinghe.
