Dr. Shanali Perera (MBBS MRCP) offered a special lecture on “Using art for social change – transform the narrative of illness, disability and life challenges” to a group of students who are reading for B.A. Honours Degree programme in Mass Communication on the 12th of December 2017.
On the 19th of July, the University of Kelaniya was visited by researchers who are interested in exploring the education, employment, and rehabilitation experiences of women with disabilities in Sri Lanka.Dr. Abigail Akande, an Assistant Professor from the Pennsylvania State University – Abington College (U.S.A.) and Ms. Puvaneswary Ponniah of World University Service of Canada (WUSC) – Sri Lanka interviewed staff and students regarding their perspectives. Their visit was facilitated by the Coordinating Centre for Students with Disabilities
The Coordinating Centre for Students with Disabilities (CCSD) in collaboration of a group of leading legal practitioners in the country organized an experience sharing workshop on Saturday, 06th of October 2018 at 9.00 am at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
