Through the roads of Kandy

There is a Sinhala saying that ‘’ the crest of the hen you see every day is always white’’. But not for me . Kandy is always a new experience for me even though my roots are there. Because Kandy knows my every struggle, my tears and myself. Though I’m just a boring soul, Kandy makes a romantic soul.
One of the favorite thing I love to do is to walk through the Kandy roads inhaling the calming, soothing, fragrances of the Kandy city. All we do running in life, but when I reach Kandy city, my life paused for a moment, and my mind paused for a moment. I feel a complete stop in my life. The Kandy Lake holds me and makes me wonder about things that my spirit knows.
As a young person, schooling is what I did for more than half my recent life. In past, I loved to get through the bus near the Sacred Temple of Tooth, walk past through the lake round, and go to the temple of the tooth on the way to school. The time period that walking all alone through the roads helped me to dream, live and feel life.
The pathetic souls along the road, the true surviving struggle of the Kandyans, made me an empathetic soul. And it’s an undeniable secret that Kandy city has protected its inhabitants naturally. They say we are different, yes, we are because we are the outcome of a spiritual city. So I guess I am blessed with the best.
