Mr.Saman Rajapaksha - Senior Lecturer II
Mr. R. Saman Rajapaksha is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. He has successfully completed BA (Special) Degree in Mass Communication with Second class Upper division in 2004. He has completed his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Degree in the University of Kelaniya in 2013. His research interests are Buddhist Communication and Asian Religious Study, Culture, Traditional forms of communication, Language and Communication, Media Research, Print and Broadcasting Media. Moreover, he is interested in exploring the philosophy and aesthetic perspectives on Communication. His recent academic research focuses on identifying communication models which are based on Buddhist Philosophical perspectives. He explores the communicational perspective that effected human consensuses through the cultural forms. He has participated in many radio and television programmes as a resource person. Moreover, he has published five academic publications and newspaper articles related to the contemporary situation of the society.

Mr. Sammera K Aththanayaka is currenty working as an assistant Media Officer at Communication & Media Unit of University of Kelaniya. He is reading for Master of Social Sciences in Mass Communication, University of Kelaniya from 27th January 2019. He completed Bachelor of Arts (special) Degree in Mass Communication in March 2018. Further, he has completed a diploma in Information Management Technology (DIMT), and a diploma in English language. He has completed a certificate course in Graphic Designing conducted by the Information and Communication Technology Centre, University of Kelaniya and also a Certificate Course in Special Effect in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere conducted by the Wijaya Graphic.

Ms. Rasika Ranaweera is currently working as an assistant Media Officer at Communication & Media Unit of University of Kelaniya. She has followed a Post Graduate diploma in Journalism (Print media) - Second division – Asian college of Journalism – Chennai, India in 2001. She has completed B.A (Special) Degree in Mass communication (2nd upper)-University of Kelaniya in 1999. She has followed a Diploma in English for Professional Purposes – University of Kelaniya. She has completed certificate course; in page layout and sub editing - Sri Lanka Press Institute (2004) and computer Literacy - University of Kelaniya. She has also followed a Business English course – ANCL, Adobe in-designing course – ANCL, and Vocational Training course in Photography – Sarasavi Photographic Art society 1997.

Mr. H.P. Ruwan Pushpa Kumara is currently working as a Media Assistant at Communication & Media Unit of University of Kelaniya. He has completed BA Special (Honors) in Public Relation & Media Management with second class upper division in university of kelaniya in 2022. He has followed a diploma in Human Resource Management in IMBS Campus Gampaha in 2019. He is currently Studying for a Diploma in English at the Sipway English Academy in Kurunegala.

Ms. Amasha Nanayakkara is currently working as the Translator at the Communication & Media Unit of the University of Kelaniya. Further, she also performs duties as a Sworn Translator in Sri Lanka. She completed her BA (Hons) Degree in Translation Studies with a First Class from the University of Kelaniya in 2024. Moreover, she has completed the Diploma in Human Resource Management at the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), the Diploma in International Relations at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS), and the Diploma in Psychology and Counselling at the IMBS Green Campus. Furthermore, she is currently following the Diploma in Tamil at the University of Kelaniya.
