at the Long Service Awards and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards 2024. The Awards Ceremony was held on the 1st of January 2024 at the Dharmaloka Hall of the University of Kelaniya.
The Award was presented by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, to appreciate his commendable service towards the success of the Unit as well as the University during the previous year. Senior Lecturer Saman Rajapaksha has been serving as the Director of the Communication and Media Unit since August 2021 and has worked with great dedication to uplift the image of the university.
The prime objective of the Long Service Awards and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony which has been held annually since 2007, is to appreciate the service of the academic and non-academic staff members during the last year and encourage them further to work towards uplifting the image of the university.
