On 8th September 2023, the Centre for Gender Studies conducted a full-day training program for the Presidential Security Division at their Headquarters in Colombo. The program was organized with the objective of raising awareness and knowledge about gender mainstreaming among the Presidential Security Staff.

The workshop aimed to enhance the understanding of gender equality and the importance of integrating gender-sensitive approaches in the operations of the Presidential Security Division.
A total of 100 participants from the Presidential Security Division attended the training, which featured interactive sessions and discussions on how gender mainstreaming can be effectively incorporated into their work.
The program was a significant step towards promoting gender awareness and fostering a more inclusive environment within the Presidential Security Division.
