A group consisted of a Senior Lecturer and 6 students attended. Resource persons, Prof. R. K. Sriyani Dias and Dr. Sudesh Udayakantha orally presented the importance of ants, Field sampling methods (video clips were shown), morphology of ants, how to prepare a dry mount of ants and ant identification using the subfamily key; participants prepared the dry mounts and gained the skills in identification with the assistance of resource persons.
