With Dr. Sudesh Udayakantha, an awareness programme on "conservation of Aneuretus simoni in Meethirigala Forest Reserve" was conducted at Meethirigala Kanishta Vidyalaya on 22 November, 2023 for teachers and the students. A leaflet prepared for the subject was distributed and oral presentations by Prof. Sriyani Dias and Dr. Sudesh Udayakantha explained the importance of this ant species and related conservation practices.
