One-day training workshop on ‘Scientific and Disciplined Driving’ for University Driver

The Staff Development Centre conducted a one-day training workshop on ‘Scientific and Disciplined Driving' for the drivers of the University of Kelaniya.

The workshop was held on 11th of December 2021 at the Staff Development Centre Auditorium.

The main objective of this workshop was to enhance positive job related attitudes and build teamwork skills. The workshop involved sessions on driving etiquette, efficient route finding, road safety and road rules, basic vehicle maintenance and teamwork skills. 

 

Mr. K.P.M. Layanal Gunathilake, Police Saroyan from the  Traffic Division of the Sri Lanka Police Headquarters conducted the first session of the workshop regarding road safety rules. The second session of the workshop was covered by Mr. K.K.K. Dharmathilaka, Registrar of the University of Kelaniya on essential university guidelines with regard to maintenance and use of vehicles. Mr Amal Ekanayake, Managing Director of Advanced Car Diagnostics conducted a session on ‘Efficient and Scientific Driving’ .Mr. S.D.A.V.B. Jayasooriya, Assistant Student Counsellor concluded the workshop with a practical session on teamwork.
