The 24th cycle of the induction program for probationary lecturers conducted by the Staff Development Centre, University of Kelaniya commenced on the 21st of January 2022 at the Auditorium of the Staff Development Centre.
Nearly 65 probationary lecturers representing the University of Kelaniya, University of Moratuwa, Advanced Technological Institute (SLATE), National Institute of Social Development, Saegis Campus, University of Vocational Technology, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, and the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka are following the course this time. This year the course is being conducted adhering to strict COVID-19 health guidelines.
Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor- the University of Kelaniya graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the inauguration of the course, and Senior Lecturer Dr. Pavithra Godamunne, Director, Staff Development Centre was also present at the occasion and introduced the program to the participants.
This program conducted by the Staff Development Centre of the University of Kelaniya since 1998, is one of the leading and most in-demand staff development programs in Sri Lanka and was the first such program to obtain ISO 9001-2015 Standard Certification.
