Professor Barbara Pisker from the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development at the J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek, Pozega, Croatia was on Erasmus+ Staff Teaching Mobility from 22nd to 28th July 2023 at the University of Kelaniya. Prof. Pisker was hosted by the Department of Sociology and the Centre for Gender Studies on 24th July. Discussions were held with the staff of the Department of Sociology and a lecture was conducted by Prof. Pisker at the Board Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences under the patronage of Prof. Ubesekara Dissanayake, Head Department of Sociology. Prof. Geethani Amarathunga and Mr. Auchithya Rathnayaka coordinated the event on behalf of the Department of Sociology. Dr. Anusha Edirisinghe, Director, Centre for Gender Studies hosted Prof. Pisker and organised a discussion with the members of the Steering Committee of the Centre.
Prof. Pisker called upon the Vice Chancellor on 25th July 2023 at the Office of the Vice Chancellor. Present at the occasion were Senior Professor Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director, Centre for International Affairs and Ms. Sashini Chandrasekara, Coordinator, International Cooperation. The mobility of Prof. Pisker was coordinated by the Centre for International Affairs.
