A media awareness program, organized by the Communication and Media Unit, University of Kelaniya, in honour of the Ayati National Centre for Children with Disabilities’ five years of dedicated service, took place under the precedence of Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, on the 28th of January 2025 at the Ayati Centre, Faculty of Medicine premises, University of Kelaniya.

Senior Lecturer Saman Rajapaksha was appointed as the Director of the Communication and Media Unit for the 2nd consecutive time. The appointment letter was handed over to the Director by the Cadre Chair & Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, on the 9th of October 2024, at the Vice-chancellor’s Office.
