Vision
The Centre for Chinese Studies strives to take a leading role in Humanities and Social Science research in the Asian Region. It seeks to achieve this through the conducting of joint research projects with universities and colleges in China and abroad.

Mission
Conducting research projects on educational, social, economic, cultural and administrative issues which require in-depth examination and investigation, especially in the context of Sri-Lankan society and China in the Asian Region. The overriding purpose of these projects is enhancing the stability of Sri-Lankan society and its development in order to help maintain its unique identity, cultural values, and heritage while ensuring its openness to the rest of the world.

研究中心在斯里兰卡与中国共同文化背景下，通过深度调研，开展教育、社会、经济、文化和行政等方面的研究。目的为在确保对世界其他国家开放的前体下，加强斯里兰卡的社会稳定及发展，从而保持其文化遗产的独特和价值。
