The Japanese Goodwill ship PeaceBoat called at the Port of Colombo on 30th April 2023. Two events on cultural exchange were organised by the Director, Centre for International Affairs Senior Porfessor Neelakshi C. Premawardhena and coordinated by the staff of the Centre for International Affairs and the German Section of the Department of Modern Languages. . Undergraduates including Student Volunteers representing Faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences, Computing and Technology and postgraduate students from the Masters in Linguistics programme as well as several academic staff members participated at the full day event.
Prof. Premawatdhena has been in charge of the cultural exchange programme with the PeaceBoat since 2001.
