Coordinator, International Programmes from Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), New Delhi visits the University of Kelaniya to sign a MoU.

Dr. Mallika Kumar, Head of Department of Commerce and Coordinator for International Programmes of Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi visited Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies on the 08th of February 2018.
A Discussion was held on possible collaborations with Mr. C. S. P.K. Fernando, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies and Head of the Department of Finance, Dr. S.M.A.K. Samarakoon, Head of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Dr. W.V.A.D. Karunarathna, Head of the Department of Accountancy, Dr. D.U. Mohan, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management and Dr. H.M.R.P. Herath, Acting Head of the Department of Marketing Management.

A presentation by Dr. Mallika Kumar was held for academics of the faculty on “Cooperative Business Model- Perspectives from India”. The session was organized by Dr C. N. Wickramasinghe, the Staff Development Coordinator for the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies.

Dr. Mallika Kumar called upon Professor D.M. Semasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office on the same day. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi, India and the University of Kelaniya was signed on for staff and student exchange and collaborative research.

The MoU Signing was witnessed by Professor Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Mr. C.S.P.K. Fernando, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies, Mr. W.M. Karunaratne, Registrar, Professor Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director of International Affairs, Professor Maithree Wickremasinghe, Professor in the Department of English, Dr. Durga Prasad Singh, Visiting Professor of the Department of Hindi Studies, Mr. Niteen Yeola, Head of the Press, Information and Culture of the High Commission of India in Colombo, Dr. Madhu Sharma, Advocate K. D. Sharma, Ms. Nishadi Kumarasiri, Programme Officer of India-Sri Lanka Foundation, Ms. Sashini Chandrasekara, Coordinator for International Cooperation and Ms. Dulshani Gopaluwewa, Coordinator for International Student Affairs.

The collaboration was initiated by Professor Maithree Wickremasinghe and coordinated by Dr. Mallika Kumar and Professor Neelakshi C. Premawardhena on behalf of Shri Ram College of Commerce and University of Kelaniya respectively.
