“Pilisandara” Workshop with Veteran Actress Dr. Malini Fonseka
The "Pilisandara" workshop, organized by the Arts Council of the University of Kelaniya, took place on the 20th of September 2023 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Kelaniya.
The objective of this program was to present valuable guidance to university students, drawing from Dr. Malini Fonseka's rich life experiences. The students showcased various dance, singing, and acting performances that were inspired by her life. This platform allowed them to exchange experiences, and knowledge, and seek advice.
Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, and Dr. Malini Fonseka, a distinguished veteran actress, graced the event as chief guests.
The event was honored by the presence of Professor M. M. Gunatilake, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Professor Uda Hettige, Chairman of the Arts Council at the University of Kelaniya, along with other esteemed members of the academic and non-academic staff.
