The International Seminar on “” organised by the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 07th of July 2018 at the Board Room, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya.
 
Professor J. B. Dissanayake delivered the keynote address at the occasion. Senior Professor Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice - Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya graced the event as the Chief Guests. 

Further,  Ms. Rajashree Behera, Director, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Mr. Aditya Rai, Senior Professor N. P. Sunil Chandra, Chair Professor of Medical Microbiology and Chairman of the Research Council, Mr. L. A. Jayatissa - Librarian of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Professor Anura Manatunga, Director of the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya, Ms. Nadeera Hewawasan, Deputy Director of the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Professor Upul Ranjith Hewawithanagamage, Professor Uda Hettige, Head of the Department of Archaeology, University of Kelaniya, Professor Yamuna Herath - Buddhist & Pali University of Sri Lanka, academic staff members of the University of Kelaniya, Assamese academics and undergraduates of the University of Kelaniya  participated for this event.

 

 

 

The International Seminar on “Thai Culture and Heritage” organised by the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 19th of March 2018 at Buddhist & Pali University of Sri Lanka.
 
Professor J. B. Dissanayake delivered the keynote address at the occasion. Venerable Senior Professor Gallelle Sumanasiri Thera, Venerable Vice-Chancellor of Buddhist & Pali University of Sri Lanka and Professor D. M. Semasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya graced the event as the Chief Guests.
 
Further, Senior Professor Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice - Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Professor N. P. Sunil Chandra, Chair Professor of Medical Microbiology and Chairman of the Research Council, Senior Professor Anura Manatunga, Director of the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya, Ms. Nadeera Hewawasan, Deputy Director of the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya, academic staff members of the University of Kelaniya and Buddhist & Pali University of Sri Lanka, Seventeen (17) Thai academics and undergraduates of the University of Kelaniya and Buddhist & Pali University of Sri Lanka were participated for this event.
