The 13th lecture of the lecture series on heritage studies organized by the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 11th of July 2019 at the Board Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The lecture was held on the topic of "Recent discoveries of Buddhist manuscripts from ancient Gandhara (Pakistan and Afghanistan) and their significance, and creating a global platform to conduct research on Buddhist manuscripts" by Dr. Mark Allon, Chair- Department of Indian Subcontinental Studies, University of Sydney, Australia.
Prof. Anura Manatunga, Director- Centre for Heritage Studies, academic staff members, invited scholars and undergraduates graced the event.
