The Staff Development Center organized a two day out bound program for executive officers at the University with the purpose of enhancing their leadership skills and managerial skills. Further it is expected to motivate them and improve the soft skills to get the maximum productivity from their subordinate through this training workshop. It was held on 13th & 14th of September 2019 at the Kithulgala.

The Staff Development Center conducted a workshop for Library staff members in collaboration with the Library of the University. With the purpose of improving KOHA library management system in order to uplift the services effectively. It was held on 25th of July 2019.
The Staff Development Center conducted a workshop for the academic staff of the Department of the Chemistry in collaboration with the Faculty of Science University of Kelaniya,. The main purpose of the workshop is to aware the outcome Based Education-Student Centered Learning for the academic staff. It was held on 19th July 2019.
The Staff Development Center conducted a workshop for Staff of the Medical Center of the University with the purpose of improving their work
efficiency and the improve soft skills. It was held on 16th of July 2019.
The Staff Development Center conducted a program for Non-academic members recruited from 2015 of the University with the purpose of improving their working efficiency and to understand their responsibilities to perform the duties effectively. The program had two sessions by
grouping the members for morning and evening sessions. It was held on 21st February 2019 at the Staff Development Center Auditorium.
