Celebration of International Day of University Sport (IDUS) - 2021
The Sri Lanka Universities Sports Association have organized a series of sports-related events as a part of this year’s International Day of University Sport (IDUS) celebrations will take place on the 20th of September, 2021. These events have been initiated together with the FISU Student Ambassadors in order to promote fitness and health during the pandemic and most importantly to develop the sports education

and awareness amongst university students in the country.

Couple of University of Kelaniya undergraduates showed their talents and skills at the IDUS 2021.

These events have been initiated together with the FISU Student Ambassadors in order to promote fitness and health during the pandemic and most importantly to develop the sports education and awareness amongst university students in the country.
Couple of undergraduates of University of Kelaniya showed their talents and skills at the IDUS 2021. 

Ms. Chathuri Harshani, 4th Year Undergraducate of Faculty of Commerce and Mnagement Studies and Captain of Basketball Women in Academic Year 2018/2019 one of the two undergraduates represented Sri Lanka at the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy 2021 acted as the Organizing Committee member of the IDUS 2021 Oranizing Committee.

Mr. Kaveendra Pathirage, Fourth Year Undergraduate at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya was the Moderator for Panel Discussion.

IDUS 2021 Article Challenge in English, Sinhala and Tamil Mediums.
Ms. Verosha Abeygoonewardena, 2nd Year undergraduate of Faculty of Science won the 1st Place in English Category while Ms. Hiranya Disanayaka, 1st Year Undergraduate of Faculty of Humanities won the 1st Place in Sinhala Category. 

Apart from that Ms. Chaturi Wijesekara, 4th year undergraduate and member of University Track & Field and Netball Teams and Mr Kavindu Lakshan, 3rd year undergraduate of FAculty of Humanities both following a Dancing Special Degree did an outstanding dancing perfromance at the IDUS 2021.
