The Inter-University Badminton Championship 2024, organized by the University of Kelaniya, was held from 29 November to 1st December 2024 at the university's New Gymnasium. 16 Teams each from both men and women categories, representing all state universities, participated in this Championships.

On the way to the championship, the UoK Men team beat Eastern, South Eastern and Jaffna universities by 3/0 in the preliminary round, Rajarata University by 3/1 in the quarter-final, University of Colombo by 3/1 in the semi-final, and Sri Jayewardenepura by 3/2 in the final. 

UoK Women team beat Rajarata, Wayamba Universities by 3/0, Ruhuna by 3/1 in the preliminary round, Peradeniya by 3/0 in the quarter-final, lost to Sri Jayewardenepura by 1/3 in the semi-final and beat Moratuwa by 3/0 in Consolation Final. 

In the Men's Championship, the University of Kelaniya emerged as the Champions, and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the University of Colombo were placed the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up, respectively.

In the Women Championship, the University of Kelaniya was placed the 2nd runner-up and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura emerged as the Champions, and the University of Colombo was the 1st runner-up.
