Univrsity of Kelaniya won the 2nd Runner-up and womens team placed 4th at the Inter-University Table Tennis Championship 2024 organized by the University of Jaffna was held on 14th and 15th December 2024 t the Gymnasium, University of Jaffna. 

In the Preliminary rounds, UoK men's team won against the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine by 3/0, lost to the University of Moratuwa by 3/0 became group A runner-up. and then beat the University of Peradeniya by 3/1 in the quarter-final. In Semi-Final the UoK men's team lost to the University of Sri Jayewardenepura by 3/1 and Managed to beat the University of Colombo by 3/1 in the Consolation Final and become the 2nd runner-up.

In the Preliminary rounds, the UoK women's team beat the University of Peradeniya by 3/1, and South Eastern and Uva Wellassa universities, beaten by 3/0, became group D Winner. and then beat the University of Jaffna by 3/0 in the quarter-final. After a very close fight, as 3/2, the UoK women's team lost to the University of Moratuwa in the Semi-final and to the University of Colombo in the Consolation Final.
