The Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya achieved remarkable success at the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards 2024, held on January 1, 2025, at the university premises. The CGU secured two prestigious awards in recognition of its excellence and contributions.
Senior Professor C. D. Senaratne, Director of the Career Guidance Unit, was honored as the ‘Most Successful Director of a Center/Unit/Committee’ for the fourth consecutive time (2021,2022,2023,2024).
Additionally, the CGU won Second Place in the ‘Best Website’ category for units and centers, marking the second time the CGU website has been recognized. This achievement highlights the unit's commitment to digital innovation and user engagement. The award was accepted by Ms. W. R. D. Padmasiri, Webmaster, accompanied by Mr. K. A. M. Viraj Abeysinghe and Mrs. R. P. A. Minoon Perera, Career Counsellors of the CGU.
These accolades reinforce the CGU’s ongoing efforts to empower students and graduates through impactful career development and guidance programs.
