The graduate proposal presentation was held to select the award winners of the Graduate Entrepreneur Program - 2024 on the 1st of November at the NEDA Auditorium of the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA). 

The Inauguration Session of the Graduate Entrepreneur Program 2024 was held on the 5th of August at the Auditorium of the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya. 

Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya held a certificates awarding event on 29th July 2024 at the CGU auditorium. 

Senior Professor C. D. S. Wettewe was reappointed as the Director of the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya for a period of 3 years with effect from 15th February 2024. 

The Letters of appointment were handed over to the Career Fair Team 2024 by the Director of the Career Guidance Unit (CGU), Senior Professor Dikushi Wettewe at the auditorium of the CGU on the 22^nd of January 2024.

The Ceremony of Long Service Awards and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 1^st of January 2024 at the Dharmaloka Hall of the University.  The career guidance unit won two awards from different categories.

The Career Fair 2025 team officially received their letters of appointment from the Director of the Career Guidance Unit (CGU), Senior Professor Dikushi Wettewe at the CGU auditorium on November 18, 2024. The committee, composed of student leaders from clubs affiliated with the CGU, aims to foster leadership skills among undergraduates and encourage active participation in university events.

The Graduate Entrepreneur Exhibition & Sale (GEES) - 2023 was conducted by the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya on the 20th of September 2023 at the CGU premises of the University of Kelaniya.

The Career Fair Team 2023, a dynamic and dedicated collective comprising members from all clubs affiliated with the CGU, came together in a momentous event on the 29th of May at the University of Kelaniya. On this momentous occasion, the team proudly handed over the highly anticipated Career Fair 2023 Magazine to the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Snr. Prof. Nilanthi De Silva.

The CGU of the University of Kelaniya took steps to appoint all the Committee Members of the Career Fair 2023 from the student clubs affiliated with the CGU, with the objective of developing leadership skills in undergraduates and enhancing their involvement in university events.

National Volunteer Summit 2022 which was organized by United Nations Volunteers was indeed a valuable and timely forum where volunteers from the whole nation representing their respective organizations, universities, clubs, and societies celebrated International Volunteer Day with the theme 'Solidarity Through Volunteering' and with the hashtag “Together, Act Now.”  The summit was held on 05^th December 2022 at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

The Ceremony of Vice-Chancellor's Awards of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 02^nd of January 2023 at the Dharmaloka Hall of the University.

Letters of appointment were handed over to the Career Fair Team 2022 by the Chairperson of the CF 2021 Mr Thilina Karunanayake at the Career Guidance Unit on the 25^th of January 2022. The meeting was attended by the Director of the CGU, Snr. Prof. Dilkushi Wettewe and the academic co-ordinator of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr Lathika Athauda.

 The Co-Chairs Ms D.A.Hapugoda, Ms V. M. Abeygoonewardena, Ms Sithiji Kavishma, Mr Sachith Lakshan, Ms Shehani Fernando and Ms Kulesha Rashmini were appointed from the Gavel Club, the LED, the Aiesec, LEO and the Rotaract club of the Career Guidance Unit.The CF 2022 will be held on the 30^th of March 2022 as a hybrid event.

Nipuna Shamen Rambukkange, President- Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation on 12th February 2021 at the Vice- Chancellor's Office, University of Kelaniya.

A meeting was held to felicitate the students who won the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) grant in 2021/ 2022 through the Graduate Entrepreneur Award programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the NEDA on 06^th December 2022 at the CGU Auditorium.

The meeting was graced by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya & staff members of the CGU including the director of the CGU Snr.  Prof C D Senaratne.
