The Graduate Entrepreneur Exhibition & Sale (GEES) - 2023 was conducted by the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya on the 20th of September 2023 at the CGU premises of the University of Kelaniya.

35 talented graduate entrepreneurs presented their own unique products at this event.

The objective of the event was to provide a platform for graduate entrepreneurs to encourage entrepreneurship among graduates and to inspire and motivate them to turn their creative ideas and skills into viable businesses while serving as a platform for these emerging talents to showcase their creations and ideas, connect with potential customers and gain valuable exposure in the marketplace.

Senior Prof. Nilanthi De Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya was the chief guest of the event.

The Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya conducted a workshop as part of the Graduate Entrepreneur Exhibition & Sale (GEES) - 2023 on the 7th of September at the CGU Auditorium of the University of Kelaniya. 32 graduate entrepreneurs attended to the workshop and the workshop was organized by CGU with the aim of providing a platform for graduate entrepreneurs to enhance their knowledge of digital marketing and develop their essential entrepreneur skills needed to become successful entrepreneurs. The first part of the workshop was named Value added Selling and it was conducted by Mr.Dhanuka Liyanagamage - the Director of the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) . The second part of the workshop was named Digital marketing and it was conducted by Senior Lecturer Thilina D.K - Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya.

The graduate proposal presentation was held to select the award winners of the Graduate Entrepreneur Program - 2023 on the 10th of August at the NEDA Auditorium of the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA). The graduate proposal presentation program was organized by NEDA in collaboration with the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya. Present at the occasion were Senior Professor Dilkushi Wettewe - the Director of the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Kelaniya, Mr. Lasantha Kariyapperuma - Chairman/ Director General of the National Enterprise Development Authority, Mr.Dhanuka Liyanagamage - the Director of the NEDA, NEDA Officers & Counsellors of the CGU. The main objective of the program was to motivate university undergraduates by empowering them with financial support to become successful entrepreneurs.

The inauguration session of the Graduate Entrepreneur program - 2023 was held on the 2nd of May at the CGU Auditorium of the University of Kelaniya. The program was organized by the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA). The program is planned to be held on 2nd, 3rd, 4th of May 2023 at the CGU Auditorium of the University of Kelaniya. Present at the occasion were Senior Professor Dilkushi Wettewe, the Director of the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Kelaniya, Mr.Dhanuka Liyanagamage, the Director of the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) , Ms.Bhagya Nakandala and NEDA Officers (Mr.D.B.Jayathilaka, MS.Wasanthi Senasinghe, Ms.Ashoka Kumari, MS.Harshika Kulasekara) 40 registered undergraduates took part in the training.The main objective of the program was to motivate university undergraduates by empowering them with essential skills needed to become successful entrepreneurs and directing them towards opportunities in the business world with financial support.
