The Career Fair 2026 Leadership Training Programme was successfully conducted on the 20th of November 2025 at the Sinha Regiment Army Camp, Ambepussa. This initiative served as a key preparatory component for the upcoming Career Fair 2026, providing the CF 2026 Team with a unique opportunity to enhance their leadership capabilities ahead of the event.
This year marks the first time a structured leadership-focused training programme was introduced as part of the Career Fair preparations at the University of Kelaniya. The programme aimed to strengthen the CF 2026 Team’s core leadership competencies through interactive sessions, practical activities, and team-building exercises.The main objective was to equip student leaders with essential skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, adaptability, and strategic thinking,supporting both the successful execution of Career Fair 2026 and their overall personal and professional growth.
Himantha Sayuru, Chair of CF 2026 and Co-Chair of Industry Coordination, as well as the President of the Rotaract Club; Jinadari Ranawaka, Co-Chair of Editorial and President of the Gavel Club; Janidu Wijesundara, Co-Chair of Logistics and President of the Leo Club; and Dulanga Thennakoon, Co-Chair of External Coordination and President of LED, participated in the programme together with their respective teams. Senior Professor Dilkushi Senaratne, Director of the Career Guidance Unit, also took part in the event, accompanied by Career Counsellors Mr. K. A. M. Viraj Abeysinghe and Mrs. R. P. A. Minoon Perera, along with the CGU staff.
The presence of Rtr. Roshan Rathnayake, former President of CF 2024, and Rtr. Vihanga Divyanjana, former President of CF 2025, added great value to the programme. They shared their experiences, insights, and leadership journeys, inspiring the current CF team to approach their responsibilities with dedication and confidence.The CF 2026 Team concluded the programme with renewed enthusiasm, enhanced leadership strengths, and a deeper sense of unity. The training not only enriched their skills but also fostered a strong foundation for the successful execution of the Career Fair 2026.
