Program 41: NEDA Second Workshop

A special workshop entitled “Upadhidari Vyawasayaka Udanaya” was conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the National Enterprise Development Authority on the 10th N0vember 2019 at the Career Guidance Unit, Training Centre. Undergraduates and pass out students representing Commerce and Management, Social sciences, Humanities and Science faculties attended this workshop. The objective of this program is to encourage graduates for business and self-employment.

This was the second training session of  Upadidhari Vyawasayaka Udanaya” program. It was theoretically and practically explained to undergraduates how to run a business. On second day undergraduates were devided into groups and directed to conducted a business. All the members made a presentation about their business and finally the best teams were selected.

Ms. Priyanga Serasinghe (Enterprise Promoion Officer) and  Ms. Thakshila Priyanthi  (Enterprise Development officer) participated in this program representing NEDA. Career counselors were also present at the workshop.

Program 40: NEDA First Workshop

A special workshop entitled “Upadhidari Vyawasayaka Udanaya” was conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the National Enterprise Development Authority on the 09th  N0vember 2019 at the Career Guidance Unit, Training Centre. Undergraduates and pass out students representing Commerce and Management, Social sciences, Humanities and Science faculties attended this workshop. The objective of this program is to encourage graduates for business and self-employment.

Program 39: NEDA Awareness Workshop

A special workshop entitled “Upadhidari Vyawasayaka Udanaya” was conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the National Enterprise Development Authorit on the 01st N0vember 2019 at the Career Guidance Unit, Training Centre. Undergraduates and pass out students representing Commerce and Management, Social sciences, Humanities and Science faculties attended this workshop. The objective of this program is to encourage graduates for business and self-employment.

Program 38: CV writing & How to face an Interview

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of Fine Arts for final year undergraduates of the Department of Fine Arts . The resource person of the event was Ms. Kanchana Geethani -  Human Resource Development Officer. The career counselors also participated in this event.

Venue –Training Centre, Career Guidance Unit  – Date 2019.10.30– Time 1:00pm 3:00pm. Number of Participants -28.

Program 37: Soft Skills Development Workshop entitled “pick work”

A special soft skills development workshop entitled “pick work” was conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Employee Federation of Ceylon on the 8th  October 2019 at Atlas company, Peliyagoda branch. A group of 15 students participated in the awareness program. This programme was helpful for the development of the soft skills of the undergraduates and to offer guidance and to create awareness of opportunities related to their career. All the participants were provided with a valuable certificate.
