Program 19: Developing Thinking Patterns For Faculty of Social Sciences

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of Geography for General 1st  year undergraduates of the Department of Geography. The resource person of the event was Mr. Madhura Jayasinghe, the Career Guidance Counselor of the National Career Guidance Association. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, The Coordinator of the Department of Geography and Career counsellors participated in this event. Venue: K2-002, Faculty of Social Sciences, Date: 2019.06.19, Time: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Number of Participants: 217.

Program 18: Stress Management For Faculty of Medicine

This special programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit for 2nd year undergraduates of the Faculty of Medicine. The resource person of the event was Mr. Pradeep Koholanegedara, Assistant Director, Preventive Education and Training Unit National Drugs Control Board, Global Counselor- NAADAC, National Trainer – ICAP. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, Dr. K.A. Savin of the Faculty of Medicine, the academic advisor of the Faculty of Medicine Dr. Lanka Ranveera and the Career counsellors participated in this event. This programme was really satisfactory and effective for the students. The student feedback indicated that this programme was really productive for the students. Venue – Main Auditorium Faculty of Medicine, Date- 2019.06.10, Time-10:15am 12:15pm.  

Program 17: CV writing & How to Face an Interview For Faculty of Science

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of mathematics for 3rd year undergraduates of the Department of mathematics. The resource person of the event was Ms. Renuka Tennakoon, the lecturer of Sri Lanka Foundation Institute. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, Career counsellors participated in this event. This programme was really satisfactory and effective for the students. The student feedback indicated that this programme was really productive for the students. Venue - B1 212, Faculty of Science, Date: 2019.06.18 – Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Number of Participants -142.

Program 16: CV Writing and How to face an Interview to undergraduates with Disabilities

This special programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit  for all the undergraduates of the Coordinating Centre for Students With Disabilities.The resource person of the event was the Human Resource Development Officer, Ms. Kanchana Geethani. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, the Director of the Coordinating Centre for Students With Disabilities, the Interpreter and Trainer Mr. Kelum Indika Samarawickrama and Career counsellors participated in this event.  Venue - Training Centre- Career Guidance Unit, Date: 2019.06.15 - Saturday, Number of Participants - 8.
