Program 30: “Entrepreneurship Caravan” Venture Frontier Lanka

“How to think differently about businesses you will start”

Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with Venture Frontier Lanka organized a special workshop in order to offer guidance and motivate the undergraduates of the University of Kelaniya towards the field of entrepreneurship. The event was co-sponsored by the two students’ associations, Inventor Club and IMSSA (Industrial Management Science Students’ Association). The workshop was held on the 05th July 2019 from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. on the 04th floor of the A 7 Building of the Faculty of Science. 175 undergraduates representing of the faculty of Science participated in this event. 

Program 29: CV Writing and How to face an Interview

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of Library and Information Science for Special 2nd and 3rd  year undergraduates of the Department of Library and Information Science.The resource person of the event was Ms.Kanchana Geethani – Human Resource Development Officer. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, The Coordinator of the Department of Library and Information Science and Career counsellors participated in this event. 

 Venue –Training Centre, Career Guidance Unit  – Date 2019.07.05– Time 10:00pm 12:00pm. Number of Participants -23.

Program 28: Rapport Building Using NLP Techniques

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of Library and Information Science for Special 2nd and 3rd  year undergraduates of the Department of Library and Information Science. The resource person of the event was Mr. Madhura Jayasinghe, the Career Guidance Counselor of the National Career Guidance Association. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, The Coordinator of the Department of Library and Information Science and Career counsellors participated in this event.  Venue –Training Centre,Career Guidance Unit  – Date 2019.07.05– Time 8:00pm 10:00pm. Number of Participants -27.

Program 27: Success Skills -Entrepreneur

This workshop conducted by the Career Guidance Unit for final year undergraduates of the Department of Sociology. The resource person of the event was Ms. Priyanka Perera, Entrepreneur, Trainer and the former Brand Manager-Corporate. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, The Head of the Department of Sociology Dr. (Mr.) D.M. Ubesekara, Dr. Nadeesha Gunawaradhane and the Career counselors participated in this event. 

Program 25: CV Writing and How to face an Interview For Department of History

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of History for Final  year undergraduates of the Department of History.The resource person of the event was Ms. Kanchana Geethani , Human Resource Development Officer .
