Program 24: Soft skills Development for Department of History

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of History for Final  year undergraduates of the Department of History. The resource person of the event was Dr. Chandima Gayathri Wijesundara, Senior Lecturer of the University of Ruhuna. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, The Head of the Department of History , The Academic Career Guidance Advisor of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Career counsellors participated in this event.  Venue –Training Centre,Career Guidance Unit  – Date 2019.06.25 – Time 10:00am 12:00pm. Number of Participants -32.

Program 23: Focusing on Entrepreneur field after the Graduation For Software Engineering Teaching Unit

This workshop conducted by the Career Guidance Unit for final year undergraduates of the Software Engineering Teaching Unit. The resource person of the event was Mr. Viraj Saman Kumara, Managing Partner of IBT Consultants. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, the academic advisor of the Faculty of Science Dr. Nalin Warnajith, Mr. Troshan Madhushanka coordinator of the event and the Career counsellor Ms. Subha Rathnayaka participated in this event. This programme was really satisfactory and effective for the students. The student feedback indicated that this programme was really productive for the students. Venue – A11 301 Faculty of Science, Date- 2019.06.25, Time-8:00am 10:00am, Number of Participants 17.

Program 22: Success Skills For Department of Sociology

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of Sociology for Final year undergraduates of the Department of Sociology. The resource person of the event was Dr. P.N. Meegaswaththe, the Trainer of the Public Sector. The Vice Chancellor, The Deputy Vice Chancellor, The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, The Head of the Department of Sociology and Career counselors participated in this event. 

Program 21: Developing Thinking Patterns For Department of Sports science and Physical Education

This programme conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Department of Sports science and Physical Education for Special 1st ,2nd and 3rd  year undergraduates of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education. The resource person of the event was Mr. Madhura Jayasinghe, the Career Guidance Counselor of the National Career Guidance Association. The Director of the Career Guidance Unit, The Coordinator of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education and Career counsellors participated in this event.  Venue –Training Centre,Career Guidance Unit  – Date 2019.06.24 – Time 8:00pm 10:00pm. Number of Participants -18.

Program 20: “Empower ME” Soft Skills Development programme For All Faculties

A special soft skills development workshop entitled “Empower ME” was conducted by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Employee Federation of Ceylon on the 20th June 2019 at the Career Guidance Unit, Training Centre. Undergraduates representing all faculties attended this occasion and one of the highlights of the event was the attendance of 8 students from the Faculty of Medicine.
