The cocoon

Unless you get out of your cocoon,
You’ll never get to see your painted wings,
That awaits a cool breeze,
To leap and float downstream.
You’ll never feel the warmth
Of those penetrating sun rays,
Or see the glistening of yours,
Fragile silky wings.
The wings that will take you
To the world’s end,
Or to your desired end,
Or simply to the end.
Or else which will attract,
The green-eyed beasts,
Who’d be pleased to,
Make you their grand feast tonight.
