Time isn’t the main thing, It is the only thing.

Do you still think that you have enough time to succeed in your life? Think about your age first. How old are you now? 23, 24, or maybe 26! As an undergraduate, you will spend four years in the university. 4 years means you have 1460 days, 51158400 hours, 3069504000 minutes, and 368340480000 seconds in your hands. It absolutely is a long time. Thus, do you think you are utilizing this time effectively for your studies and future success?

In the university, students not only focus on education but also on various extracurricular activities and internship opportunities. Four years of degree program duration will go fast, therefore, time management is of great importance. Every student requires time management skills to balance their study life, professional life, social life, and extra-curricular activities. Also, time management is the main skill for academic activities. There are two time management perspectives as Linear-time view and Multi-active time view. Linear-time persons tend to complete one task at a time while Multi-active persons are not very interested in schedules.  From these two paths, students can either choose both of them or whichever is convenient for them. To implement effective time management skills, students should consider many aspects. If they have lectures, job hours to cover, and extra activities to accomplish, they can prioritize everything according to the scheduled time and value of the tasks.  Prioritizing and deciding the most important things are very significant even when you are on a busy schedule. Tackling the most difficult task first, batch-processing similar tasks, setting reasonable time limits, and completing planned tasks within the time frame are the main tips for you to implement time management properly. Also, do the hard part first. It means if you have difficult assignments to write, complete them first. Then your mind will relax to focus on other activities.

When you succeed in time management you become more focused and productive. It helps you to achieve your bigger goals. As an undergraduate, every student should accompany time management skills to their daily routine and lifetime behavior, because time management is one of the key traits of a successful individual. Otherwise, it would be difficult for students to get maximum advantages from their university life as “Lost time is never found again”.
